Last Thursday, Aiden Summers of Salem participated in the Stan Utley Junior Golf Tour in Mexico, Missouri, and placed third overall. Congratulations Aiden on an excellent outing! The St. Louis Cardinals played their final game of a three game series yesterday afternoon against the Cincinnati Reds. Entering the game, the series was tied up at one a piece after the Cardinals shutout the Reds 7-0 on Saturday. In yesterday’s game, José Fermín batted in Alec Burleson in the second, Iván Herrera hit a home run in the third, but the Reds kept pace and forced extra innings. In the tenth, the Reds tallied three runs while Cardinals only managed one and fell, 5-3. The Cardinals are staying home to host the Chicago Cubs this evening live on KSMO Radio, 1340 AM and 95.7 FM, with pregame coverage starting at 5:50.
