Yairo Munoz had three hits including a late inning homer and singled in another to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 3-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds allowing the Cardinals to take three of the four games in Cincinnati. Jack Flaherty pitched well for the Red Birds but loaded the bases in the 5th inning. After getting out Yasiel Puig on a pop up, Manager Mike Schildt brought in Giovanny Gallegos who struck out Josh VanMeter and Scooter Gennett to end the threat. Gallegos got the win going 1 2/3 innings, facing five batters and striking out four. The Cards are 2 1/2 games behind Chicago in the National League Central Division and will be in Pittsburgh to open up another four game series against the Pirates at 5:10 on KSMO.

Jose Ramirez launched a go-ahead solo homer in the sixth inning that sparked the offense and led Cleveland to a 5-4 victory at Progressive Field over the Kansas City Royals. The Royals had homers from Jorge Soler and Bubba Starling in the game. Cheslor Cuthbert doubled in two more for KC in the game. Cleveland took the series, two games to one and it was the first series since the All-Star Break the Royals did not win. The Royals will have Monday off before starting a two game series at Atlanta Tuesday night.
