After winning the first two games of the series over Cincinnati, the St. Louis Cardinals game with the Reds on Sunday was rained out. It will be made up on September 17th as part of a day-night doubleheader. The Cardinals will be off until Friday night when they will be at Cincinnati to face the Reds in a three-game series.

St. Louis Cardinal great Albert Pujols will be in the Home-Run Derby tonight starting at 7:00 at Dodger Stadium. Pujols is seeded 8th and will face Kyle Schwarber of the Philadelphia Phillies who is the 1st seed. This is the 5th time in his career that Pujols will be a part of the Home-Run Derby which will be on ESPN tonight.

St. Louis Cardinal 3rd Baseman Nolan Arenado withdrew from the All-Star game on Tuesday due to lower back stiffness.

After winning the first game of the series on Thursday, Kansas City dropped the next three to the Toronto Blue Jays, losing Sunday by the score of 4-2 as the Blue Jays scored two runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to break the tie. Kansas City will be back in action Friday when they play Tampa Bay in a three-game series.

The St. Louis Blues signed Niko Mikkola to a one-year extension over the weekend, and last week sign six players to contracts: 23-year -old Scott Perunovich, 31-year-old Nathan Walker, 26-year-old Anthony Angello, 26-year-old Matthew Highmore, 29-year-old Joshua Leivo, and 27-year-old Dylan McLaughlin.
