The St. Louis Cardinals shut out the Cincinnati Reds 2-0 yesterday, finishing up the month of June with a 43-40 record. Notably Lance Lynn threw his 1,000th career strikeout as a Cardinal. He has 1,990 strikeouts in his career. The Cardinals are back in action on Tuesday starting a three game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Kansas City Royals took a lead early against the Cleveland Guardians and never looked back on their way to a 6-2 victory yesterday. This wraps up a series the Royals took 3-1. Tuesday the Tampa Bay Rays are coming to Kauffman Stadium. The Royals are currently 5 games behind the lead in the American League Central.
