The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers begin SCA Conference play tonight at Cabool starting with the JV contest at 6:00 followed by the varsity match. The Lady Tigers are 7-5 on the year.

Jordan Kyrou had two goals and two assists in the 2nd period alone to lead the St. Louis Blues past the Minnesota Wild Saturday night in the Winter Classic, 6-4. Vladimir Tarasenko, David Perron, Torey Krug and Ivan Barbashev also scored for the Blues in the game which was coldest start ever recorded for an NHL game at -8 degrees with a wind chill of -24. The Blues will be at Pittsburgh Wednesday night to face the Penguins. The pre-game show will begin at 6:00. That game will be heard on KSMO Radio.

St. Louis Blues announced the team has assigned goaltender Charlie Lindgren, forward Alexei Toropchenko and defenseman Calle Rosen and to its AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds after the return of other players from injury and COVID list.

The Kansas City Chiefs could not hold on to two 14-point leads in the game and could only score three points in the second half as the Cincinnati Bengals rallied to beat the Chiefs Sunday, 34-31 on a 24-yard field goal by Evan McPhearson as time expired. Darrell Williams scored two touchdowns while Patrick Mahomes went 26 of 35 passing for 259 yards and two touchdowns. Demarcus Robinson and Travis Kelce scored the other Kansas City touchdowns as the Chiefs fall to 12-5 on the year and their eight-game wining streak was snapped. They also fell out of the top seed in the AFC with the loss. With the win, the Bengals clinched the AFC North with a 10-6 record. Last year, Cincinnati won only four games. The Chiefs will be on the road Sunday afternoon at 3:25 in the regular season finale against Denver. The Chiefs have already clinched the AFC West title and a playoff berth.
