The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers be at Mountain View-Liberty tonight with play starting at 6:00 with half a JV game followed by the varsity contest. The Lady Tigers are 9-9 on the year and 1-2 in the SCA Conference.

The Licking Wildcats beat Salem Friday night in the “Cat Classic” by the score of 71-61. Keyton Cook scored 18 points to lead the Wildcats followed by Austin James with 17. Salem had three players in double figures: Gunnar Konkel with 19 points, Bryson May with 18 and Tre Richter with 12. Salem will host the Willow Springs Bears Tuesday at the high school gym starting with a freshman game at 5:00, the JV game at 6:00 and the varsity game will follow.

The Missouri Basketball Tigers lost their third straight game falling to the 23rd ranked Iowa State Cyclones Saturday, 67-50. DaJuan Gordon led the Tigers with 15 points. Missouri is now 8-12 overall and 2-6 in the SEC Conference. They will host Florida Wednesday night at 7:30 on KSMO Radio.

Vladimir Tarasenko scored a 1st period power play goal, but the Winnipeg Jets scored four unanswered goals and beat the Blues Saturday, 4-1. The Blues will be off until February 10th for the All-Star break.

The St. Louis Blues’ forward Jordan Kyrou is the lone Blue to be selected to play the NHL All-Star game to be held February 5th in Las Vegas.

The Kansas City Chiefs built a 21-3 first half lead, but only managed three points in the 2nd half taking the game with Cincinnati into overtime. Patrick Mahomes was intercepted leading to Cincinnati’s Evan McPherson 31-yard field goal and a 27-24 Bengal overtime win. Mahomes threw three TD passes in the game. Cincinnati will play the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl in two weeks in LA.
