Salem Lady Tiger Volleyball Player Avery Erway signed a letter of intent to attend Central Methodist for academics and to play volleyball. Congratulations Avery!

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will travel to Thayer to face the Lady Bobcats in SCA Conference play tonight. The JV game will begin at 6:00 with the varsity game to follow. Salem is 11-9 on the season and 3-0 in the SCA Conference.

The Salem Boys JV Tigers will participate in the Licking JV Tournament starting tonight with a game at 6:50 at the Licking High School Gym. The winner will pay Saturday morning at 10:30 at the high school gym while the loser will play in the consolation bracket at 9:00 Saturday morning at the high school gym.

Kobe Brown scored 20 points to lead Missouri past Iowa state Saturday, 78-61. D’moi Hodge added 17 points while Nick Honor added 12 more. Missouri is 16-5 record and 4-4 in the SEC. They will play Wednesday night at home against LSU at 7:30 and you can hear the game on KSMO AM 1340 and 95.7 FM.

The St. Louis Blues fell behind Colorado Saturday, 3-0 before closing the gap to 3-2 on goals by Brayden Schenn and Ivan Barbishev, but fell to the Avalanche by the score of 4-2. The Blues will be in Winnipeg to face the Jets tonight at 6:30 before they have 11 days off for the All-Star Break. You can hear the game tonight on KSMO Radio AM 1340 and 95.7 FM.

Harrison Butker’s 45-yard field goal with three seconds left sent the Kansas City Chiefs to the Super Bowl as they were able to beat the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Conference Championship game at cold Arrowhead Stadium Sunday night, 23-20. It was Butker’s third field goal of the game. The Chiefs will play Philadelphia who beat San Francisco Sunday.
