Gavin Sapugh’s double-double help lead Salem to the Houston Community Foundation Tournament Championship over the Bakersfield Lions Saturday night, 52-44. Sapuagh finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds and was supported by Braiden Gapsch with 11 points and Luke Pryor who added 10 more. Salem improves to 7-9 and have won three straight games. They will be at Steelville Tuesday night with the JV game at 6:00 with the varsity game to follow. The varsity game will be on KSMO Radio.

The St. Louis Blues are back to a .500 team as they lost to the Dallas Stars on Saturday by a score of 2-0. The Blues will be back on the ice tonight to play the 21-17-10 Vancouver Canucks. You can listen to this game live on KSMO 1340 AM & 95.7 FM starting with pregame at 6:00.

The Missouri Basketball Tigers defeated the Ole Miss Rebels Saturday by a score of 83-75. Mizzou outscored the Rebels in both halves lead by Tamar Bates with 26 points on the night. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game yesterday, 32-29. The Chiefs are Super Bowl bound for the third year in a row and will play the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9th in New Orleans.
