The Salem Basketball Tigers lost to the Licking Wildcats Friday in the consolation game at the St. James Tournament by the score of 64-43. The Tigers fall to 2-12 on the year and they will be at Steelville Tuesday night to face the Cardinals. The JV game will start at 6:00 with the varsity match to follow at 7:15. You can hear the varsity game on KSMO Radio.

The Salem Tigers Boys Basketball game with Cabool that was postponed on Friday, January 15th will be made up this Thursday night starting at 6:00 at the SHS gym with the JV game. The varsity game will follow at about 7:15.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will host Licking Tuesday night in the Big Cat Classic starting at 6:00 with the JV game with the varsity game to follow. Salem enters that game with a 10-6 record. That game will be video streamed on ksmoradio.com starting at about 7:25 on twitch.tv.

Xavier Pinson scored 27 points as the #19 ranked Missouri Basketball Tigers upset the #6 ranked Tennessee Volunteers Saturday night, 73-64. Dru Smith scored 18 points in the Missouri attack to propel them to a 10-2 record and 4-2 in the SEC Conference. Missouri will play Auburn Tuesday night in a game that will NOT be heard on KSMO R adio due to Salem basketball and St. Louis Blues Hockey.

David Perron scored the game winner Saturday night as the St. Louis Blues got goals from Vince Dunn, Torey Krug and Jaden Schwartz and beat Los Angeles, 4-2. Then on Sunday night, the Blues lost 6-3 to the Kings. The Blues will play the Vegas Golden Knights Tuesday night after Salem Tiger basketball.

The Kansas City Chiefs return to the Super Bowl as they beat the Buffalo Bills Sunday, 38-24. The Chiefs will play Tampa Bay February 7th.
