The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers lost to the Eldon Mustangs in overtime Friday night, 57-54 to fall to 2-8 on the season. Salem led most of the game only to have Eldon tie the game midway through the 4th quarter and win the game on the strength of free throws in overtime. Braiden Carmack led Salem with 21 points in the loss. The Tigers will be off until Friday night when they host Cabool in SCA Conference play.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will be on the road for two tough SCA Conference games this week. Tonight, they will travel to Willow Springs to face the Lady Bears starting with the JV game at 6:00 with the varsity game to follow. Salem on Thursday will then travel to Thayer to face the Lady Bobcats. Salem enters the game with a 9-4 record overall and 1-0 in the SCA Conference.

The Missouri Tigers game with LSU was postponed Saturday night due to concerns from an outbreak of COVID-19 on the Missouri squad. They have now been placed on quarantine which means the game Tuesday night against Vanderbilt has also been postponed. As of now, the game Saturday with Texas A&M is still scheduled to be played at 11:30 in the morning.
