Gunnar Konkel scored 32 points and Bryson May added 20 more, but it wasn’t enough as Salem fell to Eldon Friday night, 69-63. The varsity Tigers will be off until Friday when they travel to Cabool to face the Bulldogs. Salem is 0-11 on the year.

The Salem JV Boys Basketball Tigers beat Eldon Friday night, 57-53 as Landon Stobbs scored 24 points to lead the Tigers. They will be at Cabool Friday night starting at 6:00.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will host the Willow Springs Lady Bears tonight at the SHS Gym starting with half a JV game at 6:00 followed by the varsity game at 6:45. The varsity game will be heard on KSMO Radio while the JV match and varsity game will be video streamed on KSMO Media on ksmoradio.com, KSMO Stream Facebook page and on YouTube. Salem is 7-6 going into the game.

Pavel Buchnevich scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Blues past Washington Friday night, 5-1. Then on Sunday afternoon, Ryan O’Reilly and Jordan Kyrou scored power plays goals 19 seconds apart in the last minute of the game to beat Dallas, 2-1. The Blues will play Seattle Thursday night.

Linebacker Nick Bolton’s 4th quarter fumble recovery and 86-yard return for a touchdown led the Kansas City Chiefs to a 28-24 win over Denver Sunday as the Chiefs finish the regular season with a 12-5 record. Patrick Mahomes was 27-44 for 270 yards and two touchdowns. The Chiefs will play Pittsburgh in the 1st round.

Kobe Brown scored a career high 30 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead Missouri to a 92-86 upset win over 15th ranked Alabama Saturday afternoon. Jarron Coleman added 18 points while Javon Pickett and DaJuan Gordon each added 15 points. Missouri, now 7-7 on the year, will face Arkansas Wednesday night at 7:30 on KSMO Radio.
