Fayth Kaminski recorded a double-double Saturday against Mountain View-Liberty as she scored 12 points and added 11 rebounds as Salem improves to 4-0 in the SCA Conference by beating the Lady Eagles, 60-41. Ashton Bowers led all scorers with 19 points and Savannah Manthey added 10 more as the Lady Tigers improve to 12-9 on the year. The Lady Tigers will be at Cuba today at 5:30 to face the Lady Widlcats with one-half a JV game followed by the varsity contest.

Freshman Kolby James scored 24 points and helped lead Willow Springs to a 77-67 win over the Salem Tigers Friday night at Willow Springs as the Bears had four scorers in double figures. Trethan Rictor scored 25 points for Salem followed by 11 points each for Bryson May and Gunnar Konkel. Salem falls to 5-14 on the year and 1-1 in the SCA Conference. The Tigers will host Cabool tonight in a make-up game from last week and it will be “Pink Out” night. The Salem Boys JV Tigers beat Van Buren Saturday morning in overtime, 65-58 in the consolation bracket of the Licking Tournament before losing in the Consolation Championship to Belle at the Licking High School Gym.

The Missouri Tigers could not get their offense going Saturday at Mississippi State and fell to the Bulldogs, 63-52. DeAndre Gholston led Missouri with 12 points followed by D’Moi Hodge who netted eleven points. Missouri falls to 17-6 on the year and 5-5 in the SEC Conference. The Tigers will host South Carolina Tuesday night. KSMO Radio will join the game in progress after Salem basketball.
