The Licking Wildcats retained the “Cat Classic” Trophy sponsored by Town and Country Bank Friday night as they beat the Salem Tigers, 45-36. Licking was led in scoring by Wilson Murray with 23 points while Lucas Morrison led Salem with 9 points. Salem is 8-9 on the year and they resume SCA play Tuesday night when they host the Thayer Bobcats.

The Salem Lady Tigers will be at Mountain Grove tonight to face the Lady Panthers in SCA Conference play. The Lady Tigers are 11-7 on the year and 2-1 in the SCA Conference.

The Missouri Basketball Tigers fell to the South Carolina Gamecocks Saturday afternoon by the score of 76-54. Xavier Pinson led Missouri with 12 points. Missouri is now 10-11 overall and 2-6 in the SEC Conference. Missouri will host Texas A&M Tuesday night at 8:00.

St. Louis Blues lost to the Winnipeg Jets Saturday night by the score of 5-2 after losing Friday night to the Edmonton Oilers, 4-2. The Blues have lost five of their last six games. The Blues will host Carolina Tuesday night at 7:00 with the game broadcast delayed until 9:00 on KSMO Radio after Salem Basketball.

Damien Williams scored two touchdowns in the last three minutes as the Kansas City Chiefs scored 21 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to come back and beat San Francisco, 31-20 to win Super Bowl LIV. Patrick Mahommes was named the Super Bowl LIV MVP for throwing two touchdowns and scoring one in the game.
