The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers battled the Union Lady Wildcats to a 40-40 tie at the end of regulation but the Lady Wildcats converted three free throws in overtime which proved to be the difference and beat Salem, 47-44. Salem was led by Taylor Norris with 15 points in the loss. The Lady Tigers finished the season with a 16-11 record.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers offense never got untracked in the first round District game against St. Clair and lost to the Bulldogs by the final score of 40-27. The loss ended the three game winning streak going into District play. Salem was led in scoring by Logan Chilton with eight points as they finished their season with an 8-18 record.

KeVaughn Allen scored 17 points, Keyontae Johnson added 13 and Florida overcame a 12-point deficit in the second half to beat Missouri 64-60 on Saturday. Jordan Geist led the Tigers with 16 points while Javon Pickett added 15. Missouri falls to 12-14 on the year and 3-11 in the SEC Conference. They will be a Mississippi State Tuesday night.

On Saturday, the St. Louis Cardinals banged out 20 hits and got three-run homers from Max Schrock and Ramon UrĂ­as en route to an 11-1 pasting of the Miami Marlins. On Sunday, the Washington Nationals received 11 walks and had 12 hits to beat the Cardinals 12-2. Tyler O’Neal homered for the St. Louis who will play Detroit this afternoon.

Kansas City had 12 hits on Saturday and beat Texas by the score of 9-1. Andy Ibanez had a homer for the Royals. On Sunday, the Royals scored six runs in the 1st inning en route to a 14-5 win over the Oakland Athletics. The Royals will face the Colorado Rockies today.

Sammy Blais scored in the sixth round of the shootout to lift the St. Louis Blues to a 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on Saturday. Alexander Steen scored in the 1st period for the Blues while Jordan Binnington stopped 31 regulation shots to earn the win. On Sunday,
Ryan Donato scored the game winner in overtime to lead Minnesota past the Blues, 2-1. Alex Petrangelo scored for the Blues who will be home Tuesday night to face Nashville at 7:00.
