The Salem Tigers Boys Basketball team fell 75-41 to the Thayer Bobcats Friday night. Levi Smith and Ethan Wilson-Webber each scored 10 points for Salem as they fell to 2-20 on the year. The Tigers will face the Ava Bears tonight starting with JV at 6:00 with the varsity game to follow at about 7:20. The games will be video streamed on KSMO Media and the varsity game heard can be heard on KSMO Radio starting with Tiger Talk with Coach Bryan Carty.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will be at St. Clair to face the Lady Bulldogs with the JV game at 5:30 with the varsity game to follow. Salem is 12-12 on the year.

The Salem Basketball Lady Tigers are seeded 4th in Class 4, District 3 play and will play the 5th seeded Cuba Lady Wildcats this Saturday afternoon at 2:00. The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers are seeded 6th and will play the 3rd seeded St. Clair Bulldogs Monday night, February 28th, at 7:00. All the games will be played at the Sullivan High School gym.

The St. Louis Blues beat the Toronto Maple Leaf’s Saturday night, 6 to 3, scoring three goals in the 3rd period. Pavel Buchnevich scored two goals for the Blues while Ryan O’Reilly, Brandon Saad, Brayden Schenn and Klim Kosten also tallied for St. Louis who will play Tuesday night in Philadelphia against the Flyers.

The Missouri Tigers lost to Mississippi State Friday night by the score of 68-49. Then on Sunday night in the makeup game from January, Mississippi State came from behind and beat Missouri 58-56. With the loss, Missouri falls to 10-17 on the year and 4-10 in the SEC Conference. Missouri will play Tennessee Tuesday night.
