The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers will host the St. Clair Lady Bulldogs at the SHS Gym tonight in their last regular season game. The JV game will be at 5:30 with the varsity game to follow. You can hear the varsity game on KSMO Radio AM 1340 and 95.7 FM and both games will be video streamed on KSMO Media including ksmoradio.com, the KSMO Stream Facebook page and the KSMO YouTube page.

The Salem Lady Tigers are seeded 2nd in the Class 4, District 3 playoff which gives them a bye on Tuesday, February 28th of the tournament. Salem will play the winner of the Sullivan/St. Clair game at St. James on Thursday, March 2nd at 7:00.

Isaac Dalton scored 26 points and pulled down 15 rebounds leading the Ava Bears past Salem Friday night at Ava, 59-50. Salem finished with an SCA Conference record of 2-5. Gunner Konkel and Trethan Rictor each had 15 points for the Tigers who are 6-18 on the season. The Tigers will wrap up their regular season Tuesday night in St. Clair with the JV game at 5:30 with the varsity game to follow.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers are seeded 6th in the Class 4, District 3 tournament which will begin on Monday, February 27th in St. James. Salem will play the 3rd seeded Cuba Wildcats starting at 7:00 that night. The winner will play St. Clair at 7:00 Wednesday night, March 1st at 7:00.

On Friday, the St. Louis Blues traded Ryan O’Reilly and Noel Acciari to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round draft pick as well as two prospects. O’Reilly, who was the Captain of the Blues, won the Conn Smyth Trophy as the MVP of the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2019. O’Reilly and Acciari are unrestricted free agents at the end of the year.

The St. Louis Blues fell to the Colorado Avalanche Saturday afternoon in St. Louis, 4-1 with Sammy Blais getting the only goal. On Sunday, the Blues gave up four second period goals and lost to Ottawa on the road, 7-2. Tyler Pitlick and Colton Parayko scored for the Blues who will be in Carolina Tuesday to face the Hurricane that will be delayed on KSMO.

The Missouri Tigers fell to the Texas A&M Aggies Saturday at Mizzoui Arena, 69-60 to fall to 19-8 on the year and 7-7 in the SEC Conference. Kobe Brown scored 24 points to lead the Tigers followed by D’Moi Hodge who netted 12. Missouri has lost two straight and will face Mississippi State Tuesday night at 5:30.
