The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers Homecoming game with Ava Friday night was postponed due to adverse weather conditions and rescheduled for this Friday night at 6:00. The JV will start at that time with the varsity game to follow. Tomorrow night, Salem will host St. Clair at 5:30 at the SHS Gym starting with the JV game followed by the varsity contest. Salem is 12-12 overall while St. Clair was 6-16 going into the game. The game can be heard live on KSMO Radio and video streamed on KSMO Media starting around 6:45 with Tiger Talk and Coach Jared Patterson.

In the seed meetings held Saturday, the Salem Lady Basketball Tigers have been seeded 6th in the Class 4, District 3 Tournament, while the boys have been seeded 4th in the tournament. The girls’ tournament will be held at the St. Francis Borgia High School Gym begin Monday, February 26th with the St. Clair and Sullivan game followed by Salem vs Borgia at 7:00. The Class 4, District 3 boys tournament will be held at St. James starting Tuesday, February 27th with Salem facing the host St. James Tigers at 5:30. Admission will be $6.00 for anyone six years of age and older for the day at both locations.

Tuesday is the last day to sign up your child for the City of Salem Youth Soccer Program for $45 per child. Planned age divisions are four and under, six and under, eight and under, ten and under, 12 and under and 14 and under. The divisions may have to be combined depending upon participation. To sign up, go the Salem Park and Recreation Facebook page and find the link to Teamsnap to register your child online. Jordan Kyrou and Nathan Walker scored for St. Louis Saturday but it was not enough as the Blues dropped a 5-2 decision to Nashville. The Blues will play today at noon against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The pregame show begins at 11:30 on KSMO Radio. The Blues have won seven of their last ten games.

The Missouri Tigers dropped a close 79-76 contest at Ole Miss on Saturday night. Sean East II led the Tigers in scoring with 25 points followed by Tamar Bates who added a dozen points. Jordan Butler and Aidan Shaw each had 10 points for Missouri who have now lost 12 straight games. They will host Tennessee Tuesday night. That game will NOT be heard on KSMO due to Salem Tigers basketball.
