The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers jumped out to a 29-20 lead at halftime against Willow Springs Friday night only to be outscored in the second half, 41 to 22 and lost their last SCA Conference game of the year, 61-51. Salem falls to 6 and 18 on the year and 1-6 in the SCA Conference. Lawson Toman led Salem with 14 points as the Tigers will finish out their regular season Tuesday night against St. Clair at the SHS Gym starting the with JV contest at 5:30 with the varsity game to follow.

The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers final regular season game will be tonight at St. Clair starting with the JV game at 5:30 with the varsity game to follow. The Lady Tigers are 11-13 on the season.

Both the Salem Boys and Girls Basketball Teams were seeded 4th in District play which begins Saturday at the Rolla High School Gym. The Salem Lady Tigers will play at 11:00 Saturday morning against Owensville while the Boys will play Saturday at 3:00 also against Owensville. Those games will be carried live on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com. The cost of admission for each game will be $5.00 per person who is six years of age and above.

Tremont Waters made a shot in the lane with 19 seconds remaining in the game to give LSU a 64-63 Southeastern Conference victory against Missouri on Saturday. Missouri (18-9, 8-6) had two opportunities to retake the lead in the final seconds. Kassius Robertson retrieved a loose ball and missed a short jumper with one second to play. A tip by Cullen Van Leer at the buzzer hit the underside of the basket. Jordan Barnett was the top scorer for Missouri with 18 points. Robertson finished with 14 points. Missouri will return home to play Ole Miss on Tuesday, but the game will NOT be heard due to Salem Basketball.

Ben Bishop stopped 27 shots and the Dallas Stars held on to beat St. Louis 2-1 on Friday night, moving past the Blues into third place in the Central Division. Brayden Schenn scored for Blues and Jake Allen finished with 14 saves for St. Louis. The Blues have lost three straight and they will host San Jose on Tuesday night. That game can be heard on a delayed basis at about 8:40 on KSMO Radio.
