The Salem Girls Basketball Tigers defeated Seymour Saturday at Mountain Grove, 73-46. Ashton Bowers led the way with 21 points followed by Savannah Manthey with 15 and Bella Jadwin with 13. Salem will play Dora today at 3:00. Salem enters the tournament with a 6-3 record. The winner will play Tuesday at 3:00 and the loser will play Tuesday morning at 9:00.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers beat Summersville Saturday night in the Cabool Holiday Tournament, 47-37 for their second straight win. Salem will play Licking tonight at 7:30. The winner will play Tuesday at 6:30 while the loser will play Tuesday at 3:30. KSMO will NOT be broadcasting the game tonight due to previous commitments.

Due to an increase in positive COVID-19 tests among its student-athletes, coaches and staff following Mizzou Football’s final regular-season game, the team will be unable to participate in Wednesday’s TransPerfect Music City Bowl against the University of Iowa.

Patrick Mahomes touchdown pass to Demarcus Robinson with just under two minutes left gave the Kansas City Chiefs a 17-14 win over Atlanta and clinched a first round bye in the playoffs. The Chiefs are 14-1 on the season.
