Cody Wilfong scored three touchdowns and ran for 121 yards, and Josh Earls caught touchdown passes of 35 and 38 yards as the St. James Tigers amassed over 475 yards of offense and shutout Salem Friday night, 42-0. Salem falls to 0-1 on the year and will host Knob Noster Friday night at 7:00 at the SHS Football Field.

The Salem JV Football Tigers will be at St. James this afternoon at 5:30 in their first game of the year.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers open their regular season at Winona with a Varsity game ONLY at 5:30. The Lady Tigers will open their home season Tuesday against St. James starting with a 9th grade contest at 4:45, JV contest and varsity match last.

Tommy Edman led off the 8th inning with a game-tying home run, then Tyler O’Neill cracked a three-run homer in the 8th inning and the Cardinals came back to beat Atlanta Sunday night to win the series, 6-3. The Cards will face the Cincinnati Reds at 4:45 today on KSMO.

The Kansas City Royals bats came alive as they scored five runs in the 1st inning and six more in the 8th inning and blasted San Diego Sunday, 15-7 to salvage one game of the series. The Royals have the day off before beginning a series with the Chicago White Sox Tuesday.
