Yadier Molina broke a tie with a two-run single in the seventh inning, Tyson Ross won his St. Louis debut and the Cardinals defeated the Kansas City Royals 8-2 on Sunday to sweep the three game series and give the Cardinals their fifth straight win, matching a season high. They finished up their recent road trip with a 7-2 record. The Cardinals are a National League-best 12-4 since July 27. Paul DeJong hit a two-run homer in the game for St. Louis who will return to Busch Stadiun for a four game series with the Washington Nationals starting tonight at 6:15 on KSMO Radio. The Royals will host the Toronto Blue Jays starting tonight.
