The St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals played friday night. The Red Birds hit 3 home runs that accounted for 5 of their 8 points. The Royals would keep the game close but the Cards would go on to win 8-5. On Saturday St. Louis would strike first again going up 2-0 off a Paul Goldschmidt home run. The Royals would respond with a run in the 3rd and 6th innings as well as a Salvador Perez home run in the 7th that would be more than enough to beat the Cardinals with the final score, 8-3.
