The Kansas City Chiefs were in Arizona on Saturday to begin their preseason against the Cardinals. On the opening kickoff Arizona fumbled and the Chiefs’ Roland-Wallace recovered the loose ball. Patrick Mahomes lead the starters out onto the field where they ran a total of three plays for a touchdown. Afterwards, as is typical during the first preseason game, backups and rookies were rotated in and out of play. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, safety Deon Bush suffered a torn Achilles injury in the second quarter which is expected to sideline him for the entire 2025 season. The Cardinals would go on to win the game 20-17 with a late fourth quarter tie-breaking field goal. Kansas City’s next game will be in Seattle versus the Seahawks on Friday night with kickoff scheduled for 9:00.
