The Salem Tiger Tennis Team will be at Rolla today at 4:00 and tomorrow at Willow Springs, also at 4:00.

Adam Wainwright pitching six sharp innings as the Cardinals avoided a three-game sweep by beating the San Diego Padres 4-1. He gave up one run, five hits and struck out nine. Paul DeJong drove in two runs for the Cards who start a four game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight starting at 6:30 right after Salem Tiger baseball on KSMO Radio.

Tyson Ross pitched seven impressive innings, and the Detroit Tigers extended their winning streak to five with a 3-1 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. Brad Keller (1-1) allowed three runs in six innings for the Royals, who have dropped six in a row. The Royals start a four game series with the hottest team in baseball, the Seattle Mariners tonight at Kaufmann Stadium.

Vladimir Tarasenko and Brayden Schenn scored in regulation while Ryan O’Reilly and David Perron scored in the shootout as the St. Louis Blues finished the regular season with a 3-2 win over the Vancouver and fell one point short of wining the Central Division Conference. The Blues climbed from having 34 points on January 1st and having the worst record in the league to 99 points and tying with Winnipeg for second place, one point behind Nashville. The Blues and Winnipeg Jets will face each other in the 1st round of the playoffs starting Wednesday night at Bell Place in Winnipeg at 7:00.
