The SCA Conference Track meet is scheduled for today at 1:00 at the SHS Track and Field complex.

The Salem Golf Team will participate in Districts this week at the Franklin County Country Club in Washington, Missouri.

The Osage Tennis Tournament on Saturday was postponed due to weather and the next match for the Salem Tiger Tennis team will be tomorrow at the School of the Osage at 4:30.

Jack Flaherty pitched seven shutout innings Sunday and Yadier Molina drove in three runs with a base hit and sacrifice fly to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 5-2 win over Cincinnati Sunday and series win over the Reds who won Friday night, 12-1, with the Cards taking Saturday’s game, 6-3. The Red Birds will be in Washington to face the Nationals tonight at 5:10 to start a four-game series.

Justin Bour’s three-run 9th inning homer slammed the door on the Kansas City rally as the Royals lost to the LA Angels of Anaheim Sunday, 7-3. The Royals won on Saturday, 9-4 but lost on Friday night, 5-1. Kansas City will begin a four-game set with the 1st place Tampa Bay Rays tonight at Kaufmann Stadium.

The Dallas Stars scored three first period goals on Saturday, two of them when the teams were playing 4 on 4, then held on to the St. Louis surge to win at Enterprise Center, 4-2. The Blues got goals from Jaden Schwartz and Colton Parayko in the game. The series is tied at 1 game each and will go to Dallas for a game this evening at 6:30 on ksmoradio.com due to the Cards baseball game.
