The Salem Baseball Tigers are scheduled to host the Thayer Bobcats in SCA Conference play today starting at 4:30 in Salem on KSMO Media. There will be only a varsity game. Salem enters the game with a 4-4 record and 1-0 in the SCA Conference. POSTPONED: No makeup date set

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers are scheduled to play the Mountain View-Liberty Lady Eagles this afternoon at 4:30 at Mountain View in SCA Conference play. Salem enters the game with a 5-2 record and 2-0 in the SCA Conference. POSTPONED: Makeup date will be April 25th

The Salem Tiger Tennis Team will be at Rolla this afternoon at 4:00. POSTPONED: No makeup date set

The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Pittsburgh Pirates Saturday, 6-2 as Nolan Arenado was 4-4 with three doubles. On Sunday, the Cards jumped out to a 3-0 lead on Arenado’s home run, but Pittsburgh scored five runs in the 3rd inning en route to a 9-4 win. The Cards will face the Pirates this afternoon at 1:15 with the pre-game show starting at 12:20. The game can be heard on KSMO AM 1340 and FM 95.7.

The Kansas City Royals beat the Cleveland Guardians Saturday, 1-0 in 10 innings on Adalberto Mondesi’s single. On Sunday, the Royals got rocked by Cleveland giving up ten runs in the first two innings and losing, 17-3 as the Crusaders finished with 22 hits. Royal’s pitcher Kris Bubic lasted only 2/3rds of an inning and was charged with five runs on three hits and two walks. The Royals will play the Guardians again today.

The St. Louis Blues rallied from a two-goal deficit in the 3rd period to tie the game on Justin Faulk and Brayden Schenn’s goals before beating Minnesota in overtime Friday night, 4-3 on Robert Thomas’ goal. Then on Saturday night, the Blues scored four 2nd period goals with Justin Faulk scoring two of them as they beat the New York Islanders 6-1. The Blues play the Boston Bruins on Tuesday.
