The Salem Baseball Tigers will be at Willow Springs for another SCA Conference game this afternoon at 4:30. Salem is 3-7 on the year and 1-1 in the SCA Conference. KSMO Radio will broadcast the game starting at 4:15 with Tiger Talk and Coach Tony Edwards that can be heard on AM 1340, 95.7 FM, ksmoradio.com and KSMO Streaming Facebook page.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers will be at Thayer this afternoon at 4:30. Salem is 1-4 on the year and 1-1 in the SCA Conference. The Salem Lady Tigers game against Licking tomorrow has been moved to Salem and will start at 5:00. KSMO Radio will air the contest and KSMO Media will stream that game.

The Salem Tigers Tennis Team will host Rolla this afternoon at 4:00 and Willow Springs tomorrow at the Salem City Park. Salem is 3-2 on the year.

Christian Yelich went 3-5 with a homer and Willy Adames went 3-4 with a homer as Milwaukee beat St. Louis Sunday, 6-1 and too the series from St. Louis, 2 games to 1. On Saturday, Jordan Montgomery threw seven shutout innings and Nolan Arenado hit his 300th career homer as the Cards beat Milwaukee, 6-0. St. Louis starts a three-game series in Colorado tonight starting at 6:45 against the Rockies on KSMO Radio.

Michael Conforto’s two-run homer in the bottom of the 8th gave the San Francisco Giants the lead and eventually the win over the Kansas City Royals Sunday, 3-1. The Royals took the first two games of the series and were going for the sweep behind the pitching of Chris Bubic who went six innings giving up two hits and striking out nine. The Royals travel to Texas to start a three game series with the Texas Rangers.

Sammy Blais, Pavel Buchnevich and Jake Neighbours all scored for St. Louis but it wasn’t enough as the Blues lost to the Minnesota Wild Saturday, 5-3. The Blues last two games will be a home and home series with Dallas Tuesday and Wednesday. KSMO will not carry the game Tuesday but will carry the final regular season game Wednesday starting at 6:30.

The St. Louis Battlehawks gave the XFL some excitement in the form of a win in the league’s first overtime game of the season, a 21-17 over the Vegas Vipers, in front of over 35,000 fans Saturday night. They are 6-2 on the year and in 2nd place in their division. They will play Seattle Sunday afternoon at 2:00.
