The Salem Football Tigers will host the Houston Tigers in SCA Conference play tonight at 7:00 at the SHS Football Field. Salem enters the game with a 1-1 record while Houston comes in with a 2-0 record. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com starting at 6:30 with Tiger Talk and Coach Brian McNamee.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers battled Vienna to the end, but the Lady Eagles pushed the winning run across the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning to edge Salem, 7-6 and stay undefeated with a 6-0 record. The Lady Tigers are still looking for their first win and they will host Waynesville Monday afternoon at 4;30. Salem is 0-4 on the year.

The Salem Volleyball Tigers will travel to West Plains Monday with the JV games at 6:00 with the varsity match to follow.

This Saturday, Healthy Dent County, the Salem Running Club and the Salem Memorial District Hospital will hold their 5K fun run/walk free event. It is open to everyone beginning at the Salem Community Center at the Armory. Course will be laid out with posted signs. You can run, walk, skip, or hop and strollers are welcome. Water will be provided and fruit will be available at the end of the 5K.

The St. Louis Cardinals begin a three game series with Detroit tonight starting after the Salem Tiger Football game on a delayed basis. Saturday afternoon, the game begins at 4:35 and Sunday morning at 11:30. All the games can be heard on KSMO Radio.

The Kansas City Royals will be at Minnesota for a three game series starting tonight.

The Missouri Tigers will host Wyoming Saturday at 6:00 at Faurot Field. The Tigers are 1-0 on the year. KSMO will not carry the Missouri game Saturday due to the Cardinals baseball game UNLESS that game is rained out.

The Kansas City Chiefs open then regular season Sunday against the LA Chargers at 3:00.
