The Salem Varsity Football Tigers will host the Willow Springs Bears in their Homecoming game at 7:00 tonight at Bill Schuchardt Stadium. The game will be aired on KSMO Radio (AM 1340 and 95.7 FM) and video streamed on KSMO Media including ksmoradio.com, KSMO Stream Facebook Page or the KSMO YouTube Page starting around 6:45 with Tiger Talk and Coach Neal Myers. Both teams come into the game with 0-5 record and 0-3 in the SCA Conference. The Homecoming activities will be held prior to the game.

The Salem Volleyball Tigers lost to Thayer in three straight sets: 23-25, 18-25 and 24-26. The JV will participate in the Potosi Tournament this Saturday. The next varsity contest will be Monday when the Lady Tigers travel to Bunker to face the Lady Eagles at 5:30 with the JV contest with the varsity match to follow. The Varsity Lady Tigers are 2-16-2 and 1-3 in the SCA Conference.

The Salem Football Tigers 7th graders improve to 4-0 with a 44-0 win over the Cabool Bulldogs Thursday night. The 8th grade Football Tigers also won over the Bulldogs, 28-6 and they are 2-2 on the year. The 7th and 8th grade Football Tigers will host Houston Thursday.

The Middle School Lady Basketball Tigers beat the Lady Jays of Viburnum Thursday, 33-22. They will be at Bourbon today starting at 5:30.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday, 3-0. The Cardinals begin their last series of the year against the Cincinnati Reds. Tonight’s game will be delayed until after Salem Football, then will be on KSMO around 6:30 after Missouri Tiger Football and on Sunday. KSMO will air the Adam Wainwright Farewell Program Sunday afternoon before the game at 12:45.

The Kansas City Royals fell to the Detroit Tigers, 8-0 in the conclusion of the suspended game from Wednesday, then lost 7-3 Thursday afternoon. The Royals lost all three games at Detroit and will end their season with a series with the New York Yankees.

The Missouri Football Tigers will be at Vanderbilt Saturday afternoon at 3:00. The Tigers are 4-0 going into their SEC Conference opener and they are ranked 23rd in the national polls. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio (AM 1340 and FM 95.7). The Commodores are 1-3 on the year.

Robert Thomas scored the only Blues goal as the St. Louis Blues lost to Chicago, 2-1 in overtime. The Blues will face the Dallas Stars Saturday night which will NOT be heard on KSMO. The Blues are 2-2 this preseason.

The Kansas City Chiefs will travel to New York to face the Jets in Sunday Night Football at 7:20. Kansas City is 2-1 on the year while the Jets are 1-2 on the year.
