The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers swept by the Cabool Lady Bulldogs in three straight games: 25-19, 25-16 and 25-12. Salem is 10-4 on the year and 2-0 in the SCA Conference. The Lady JV Tigers also defeated Cabool, 25-19 and 25-17. Salem will host St. Clair Monday at 5:00 in non-conference play at the SHS Gym.

The Salem JV Lady Volleyball Tigers as well as the Freshman Lady Volleyball Tigers will play in the Licking Tournament this Saturday. Good luck Lady Tigers!!!

The Salem Football Tigers will host the Ava Bears tonight at the Bill Schuchardt Stadium starting at 7:00. Salem enters the game with an 0-4 record and 0-2 in the SCA Conference while the Ava Bears are 2-2 on the year and 1-1 in the SCA Conference. Brendan Donovan’s 100th hit in the major leagues was a 7th inning grand slam that led the St. Louis Cardinals to a 5-4 win over San Diego Thursday. Lars Nootbaar also homered for the Red Birds whose magic number is now 5. St. Louis will be at Los Angeles tonight right after Salem Football, Saturday night at 7:15 and Sunday afternoon at 2:15. All the games can be heard on KSMO Radio.

Drew Waters and Edward Oliveras each homered for Kansas City as they beat the Twins, 4-1 and swept the three-game series from Minnesota virtually eliminating them from the playoffs. Kansas City will host Seattle this weekend.

The Missouri Football Tigers play Auburn this Saturday at 11:00 on KSMO. Missouri is 2-1 on the season.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be in Indianapolis to face the Colts Sunday at noon on Sunday. The Chiefs are 2-0 on the season.

The St. Louis Blues preseason starts Saturday when they play the Arizona Coyotes.
