The Salem Football Tigers will be hosting the Ava Bears this evening at 7:00 in SCA Conference play. Salem enters the game with a 2-2 record and 1-1 in the SCA Conference. The Ava Bears are 3-1 on the season and 2-0 in the SCA. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com starting at about 6:35 with Tiger talk and Coach Brian McNamee.

Denise Stoner had three hits and three RBI and Brooke Adams had three hits and two RBI as the Salem Lady Softball Tigers beat the Dora Lady Falcons Thursday, 7-1. Addie Kunkel gave up just five hits while striking out four and walking two in going the distance to get the win. Salem is now 4-6 and they will participate Saturday in the St. James Invitational Tournament.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers beat the Thayer Lady Bobcats in two straight games: 25-17, 25-13. The Salem JV lost in two straight games: 12-25 and 20-25. Salem is now 6-8 on the year. The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will travel to St. Clair Monday night at 5:30.

The St. Louis Cardinals had the day off Thursday and they will host the San Francisco Giants tonight on a delayed basis after Salem Football at about 9:15. The Cards game on Saturday HAS BEEN CHANGED to 12:05 first pitch. The game Sunday will be held at its normal time at 1:15. All the games can be heard on KSMO.

Christin Stewart hit his first two big-league homers and drove in six runs Thursday night, leading the Detroit Tigers past the Kansas City Royals 11-8. The Royals face the Tigers tonight and Saturday night with a day game on Sunday.

The Missouri Football Tigers will host Georgia Saturday in a game that will be played back on a delayed basis after the Cardinals baseball game at about 3:30 on KSMO Radio. Missouri enters the game with a 3-0 record.

The St. Louis Blues dropped their first exhibition game Tuesday night to Dallas, 5-3, then defeated Minnesota on Wednesday night, 3-2. They will be in action tonight in St. Louis against Columbus.
