The Salem Football Tigers will travel to Thayer to face the Bobcats in SCA Conference play tonight at 7:00. Salem is 2-1 on the year while the Bobcats are also 2-1 on the year, but they have had two straight shutouts. The Salem Lady Softball Tigers got their first win of the year at Cuba Thursday, beating the Lady Wildcats, 8-3. the JV also won by the score of 15-6. The Lady Varsity Tigers are now 1-2 on the year. The Lady Tigers will be back at Cuba Saturday for the Cuba Invitational Tournament.

The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers game with Licking Thursday night was cancelled and no makeup date has been set. The Lady Tigers will participate in the Cabool Tournament Saturday.

The St. Louis Cardinal could only muster two hits and Gregory Polanco’s three-run homer in the 4th inning would bell Pittsburgh would need as they beat the Cardinals, 5-1. Dakota Hudson left the in the 2nd inning with elbow soreness. The Cardinals will have another doubleheader tonight as they will play the Pirates. You can hear the first game on KSMO starting at 3:05. The Kansas City Royals who were off Thursday will start a three game series with the Milwaukee Brewers tonight.
