The Cuba Lady Wildcats had 16 hits including a homer by Hallie McMillan and scored 10 runs as they beat Salem Softball Lady Tigers Thursday in Salem, 10-5. Ashton Bowers, Savannah Manthey and Denise Stoner each had two hits for Salem as they fall to 3-3 on the year. The Lady Tigers will play in the Cuba Tournament this Saturday at Cuba.

The Licking Lady Wildcats beat the Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers Thursday night in three straight games: 25-11, 25-18 and 25-23. Salem is now 1-3 on the season and will play in the Cabool Tournament Saturday in pool play.

The Salem Football Tigers will host the Thayer Bobcats in the SCA Conference play tonight at 7:00 at the SHS Football Field. Salem enters the game with an 0-2 record. Thayer is 2-1 on the year. The Cardinals had Thursday off and will face San Diego this weekend in a battle for the 2nd wild card position. You can hear the game tonight at 9:20 due to Salem Tiger Football, Saturday night at 5:20 and Sunday afternoon at 12:20 on KSMO Radio.

Salvador Perez hit his 45th homer of the year in the 1st inning, but Oakland came back and won the game, 7-2 to take the three-game series. The Royals will begin a three-game series with Seattle tonight at Kaufmann Stadium.

The Missouri Football Tigers will play Southeast Missouri State Saturday at 11:00 on KSMO Radio. Missouri is 1-1 on the year.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be in Baltimore Sunday night to face the Ravens staring at 6:20. The Chiefs are 1-0 on the year and the game will be the Sunday Night Game on NBC, the first of three for the Chiefs.
