Addison Purvis threw a six inning perfect game against the Salem Tigers striking out 15 of the 18 batters she faced as the Sullivan Lady Eagles exploded for six runs in the 6th inning en route to a 10-0 win over Salem Thursday in the Class 3, District 10 semi-final. Salem finished the year with an 8-12 record.

The Salem Football Tigers will host the Mountain View-Liberty Eagles tonight in SCA play. Salem enters the game with a 3-4 record and 2-3 in the SCA. David Perron scored his fourth career hat trick, Alexander Steen had a goal and an assist, and the St. Louis Blues beat the Calgary Flames 5-3 on Thursday night. The St. Louis Blues will be at Chicago Saturday night at 7:00 and at home to host Anaheim Sunday at 5:30.

The St. Louis Cardinals have agreed to terms with veteran pitcher Adam Wainwright on a one-year contract for the 2019 season.

Tomorrow morning at 8:00, Healthy Dent County, the Salem Running Club and the Salem Memorial District Hospital will be holding a 5k Fun Run/Walk from the Salem Community Center@The Armory through town.
