District Baseball is scheduled to return to Salem today and tomorrow, weather permitting, as Salem will host the Class 4, District 10 Tournament. Scheduled for today will be 4th seeded Osage Indians facing the 5th seeded Eldon Mustangs at 2:00. At about 4:30, the 3rd seeded Salem Tigers will host the 6th seeded Buffalo Bisons. On Saturday, the winner of the Osage/Eldon game will face the 1st seeded Marshfield Blue Jays at 11:30, and the winner of the Salem/Buffalo game will take on the 2nd seeded St. James Tigers at about 2:00. The District Championship game is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14th at 4:30. A $5.00 entry fee shall be charged for all persons age six and up. The Class 3, District 5 Track meet will be held Saturday at Versailles.

The Individual Singles and Doubles Tennis seedings will be held Saturday at Helias who won the Class 1, District 8 Team districts.

The St. Louis Cardinals bats came alive banging out 16 hits as they scored 17 runs on the way to a 17-4 win. Yadier Molina had three hits and two RBI, Dexter Fowler each had two hits and three RBI and Marcell Ozuna had a double and drove in four runs. The Cardinals and Pirates play again tonight starting at 6:20, then Saturday and Sunday at 12:20. All games can be heard on KSMO Radio.

The Kansas City Royals lost to the Houston Astros, 9-0 on Wednesday night. They will start a three game series with the Philadelphia Phillies at Kaufmann Stadium tonight in Kansas City.

The St. Louis Blues and San Jose Sharks will battle in the Western Division Conference Final starting Saturday night in San Jose at 6:30. These two teams played in the Conference final back in 2016 with Sharks going to the Stanley Cup by beating the Blues, 4 games to 2. The second game will be Monday night at 7:30. Both of those games can be heard on KSMO Radio.
