The Salem Baseball Tigers lost to Van Buren in eight innings Thursday night at Cabool, 8-6. Lawson Toman, Nate Bray and Boone Schrader all had two hits for the Tigers who are 0-2 on the year. Freshman Kory Crocker took the loss in the game. Salem will play Cabool today in a makeup game today at 4:00 at Cabool.

The St. Louis Blues, who have won three straight overtime games, will host Vancouver tonight at 6:30. The Blues are two points out of a playoff spot. You can hear the game on KSMO.

Marcell Ozuna hit a three-run homer in the 1st inning as the Cardinals beat Atlanta, 8-2.The Cards will face the New York Mets today. This weekend the Cards play the Mets on Saturday and the Washington Nationals Sunday with both games starting at 11:45 on KSMO Radio.

Brett Phillips of Milwaukee homered in the 4th inning for the only run as the Brewers shutout Kansas City, 1-0. The Royals will play the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants this afternoon in split squad games.

The City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department is currently holding signups for their Youth Baseball and Softball Leagues. The cost is $25 per child for all boys and girls age 14 and under.
