The St. Louis Cardinals got off to a strong start yesterday afternoon against the Arizona Diamondbacks.  In the first inning, Jordan Walker batted in a run on a double and Lars Nootbaar’s single put the Cardinals up 2-0 early. Then the Diamondbacks proceeded to score ten runs off sixteen hits, shutting down the Cardinals throughout the majority of the game. But late in the bottom of the ninth the Cardinals showed signs of life and reeled off four runs on their way to the 10-6 defeat. The Red Birds will remain at home while they host the Cincinnati Reds live tonight on KSMO Radio, with pregame coverage starting at 6:20. Live Cardinals coverage continues over the weekend with Saturday’s game coverage starting at 5:20 in the evening and Sunday’s coverage at 12:20 in the afternoon.
