The Salem Running Club and Healthy Dent County have teamed up for their second Saturday of the month 5K Fun Run tomorrow. You can run, walk, skip or hop and strollers are welcome. Just meet at the Salem Community Center@The Armory Saturday morning at 8:00. The course will be laid out prior to your arrival with signs posted. This is a free event and it is open to everyone!

The St. Louis Cardinals will host the Cincinnati Reds this weekend at Busch Stadium. You can hear the game tonight at 6:20 on KSMO radio, then Saturday’s game will be at 2:20 and Sunday’s game at 12:20, also on KSMO Radio.

The Kansas City Royals will be in Chicago to face the White Sox this weekend with games tonight, and Saturday and Sunday afternoon. These two teams bring up the bottom of the American League Central Division.

The St. Louis Blues have signed St. Louis native Patrick Maroon to a one-year, $1.75 million contract for the 2018-2019 season. The 30-year-old Maroon, who grew up in Oakville ( a St. Louis suburb) and once played for the St. Louis Bandits of the North American Hockey League, has played in seven NHL seasons, including stints with the Anaheim Ducks, Edmonton Oilers and New Jersey Devils. Maroon set a career high in games played (81) and goals (27) just two seasons ago with the Oilers.
