Reese Dodson scored 18 points including 11 in the 4th quarter to help lead the Salem Tigers to a 66-48 win over the Cuba Wildcats Thursday night. Carter Chilton added 16 points and Jordan Shults contributed 14 more as Salem improves to 3-7 on the year. Salem will play at 3:00 Saturday afternoon at Owensville in the consolation bracket championship against Linn or Owensville. The game will not be carried on KSMO due to previous commitments. The Tigers next home game will be Tuesday when they host Lesterville.

Alex Pietrangelo had a goal and an assist for the Blues who defeated the Washington Capital Thursday night, 5-2. Colton Parayko, Oskar Sundqvist, Robert Thomas and Tyler Bozak also scored, and Jake Allen made 23 saves. The Blues will host the New York Islanders Saturday night at 6:30. That game can be heard on KSMO Radio.
