The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers could not take advantage of nine 1st quarter turnovers by Sullivan after getting an 8-2 lead, as Sullivan then outscored Salem the rest of the first half, 22-4 to take a 12-point halftime lead that the Eagles never relinquished enroute to a 55-33 win. Salem was led by Bryson May with 12 points. Salem falls to 5-12 record and will play at 5:00 today against the St. James Tigers starting with Tiger Talk and Coach Jared Patterson at 4:50. The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers six-game winning streak came to an end at the hands of the Owensville Dutchgirls Thursday night at Owensville, 66-56. Salem will be off until next Thursday night when they play Sullivan. Salem is 10-9 on the year and 3-0 in the SCA Conference.

The Missouri Basketball Tigers will host Alabama Saturday afternoon at 4:30 on KSMO Radio Am 1340 and 95.7 FM. Missouri is 14-4 overall and 3-3 in the SEC Conference going into the game. Missouri is 12-1 at home this year with the only loss coming to Kansas.

Five different Blues players scored as St. Louis defeated the Nashville Predators Thursday night, 5-2. Jordan Kyrou, Brayden Schenn, Brandon Saad, Robert Thomas and Alexey Toropchenko all scored, and Jordan Binnington stood tall in goal for the Blues who are 3-2 on the current seven-game homestand. The Blues host the Chicago Blackhawks Saturday night at 7:00 right after Missouri basketball on KSMO.

After having a bye in the first round of the playoff, the Kansas City Chiefs will play the Jacksonville Jaguars Saturday afternoon at 3:30 in the AFC playoffs. The Chiefs finished the regular season with a 14-3 record.

The Healthy Dent County Fitness Center is offering a free new 30-minute class this Saturday morning called X-Press Class. The class starts at 9:00 and will be held in the exercise classroom and will be taught by Nicole Lemieux, a certified OPEX Coach every Saturday in January.
