The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will be at Ava tonight to face the Bears in SCA Play. Salem is 5-15 on the year and 0-3 in the SCA. The JV game is at 6:00 with the varsity game to follow. You can hear the game on KSMO and online at ksmoradio.com.

The Salem Lady Tigers traveled to Viburnum to face the Lady Blue Jays on Thursday night. A dominant 21-4 first quarter from Salem would set the the tone for the rest of the night as the Lady Tigers went on to win by the final score of 71-24. They are 14-9 on the year and play Houston Monday night .

TODAY is the last day to enroll in the “Start Smart Soccer Program” at the Salem Community Center@The Armory. The “Start Smart Soccer Program” is a developmentally appropriate introductory soccer program for children from 3 to 5 years of age. The “Start Smart Soccer Program” prepares children and their parents for organized soccer without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Age appropriate equipment from Franklin Sports and Kwik Goal will be used in teaching kicking, dribbling, trapping, throw-ins and helping the child with their agility. A parent or other adult must be able to attend the six, one-hour sessions with the children. The “Start Smart Soccer Program” will begin March 5th at the Salem Community Center@the Armory at 6:00 in the evening. The cost of the program is $55 and those who sign their children up for the program will receive two soccer balls, four practices cones, a shirt and shin guards. Registration forms for this program are only available at the Salem Community Center@The Armory during normal business hours from 8:00 in the morning until 4:30 in the afternoon. The Missouri Basketball Tigers will host Texas A&M this Saturday afternoon at 4:30. Missouri is 11-10 on the year and 2-7 in the SEC Conference. The game can be heard on KSMO.

Brayden Schenn scored with 59 seconds left in overtime as the St. Louis Blues shutout the Tampa Bay Lightning Thursday, 1-0. Jordan Binnington stopped 32 shots for the shutout. The St. Louis Blues return home tomorrow for the home part of home and home series with the Nashville Predators. The game Saturday will begin at 1:00 while the game on Sunday will be held at 11:30 in Nashville. You can hear both games on KSMO Radio starting at 12:30 with the pre-game show on Saturday with the game only broadcast on Sunday starting at 11:30.
