Savannah Manthey scored 23 points as the Lady Tigers beat Mountain Grove Thursday, 49-19. Bella Jadwin added 11 points for Salem who is now 13-7 on the season and 4-1 in the SCA Conference. The Lady Tigers will be at Cuba Monday night.

The Missouri Tigers will face Alabama Saturday morning at 10:30 with the pre-game show that you can hear on KSMO Radio. Missouri is 12-3 on the year and 5-3 in the SEC Conference.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will be at Thayer tonight in another SCA Contest starting with the JV game at 6:00. You can hear the varsity contest starting at about 7:15 with Tiger Talk and Coach Bryan Carty on KSMO Radio and online at ksmoradio.com.

Signups for the City of Salem 2021 Spring Soccer Season are now underway through February 13th for $25 per student. A late registration will be available from February 14th through the 21st for an additional $10 per child. The league is open to all boys and girls age 14 and under. The Arizona Coyotes stopped the Blues four game win streak with a 4-3 win Thursday night. Mike Hoffman had two goals for the Blues who will now play Arizona again Saturday afternoon at 1:30 on KSMO Radio due to Colorado being hit by COVID-19 protocols.

The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Super Bowl late Sunday afternoon at 5:30 on CBS-TV. The Chiefs are defending the NFL Championship crown from last year while Tampa Bay has not won the Super Bowl since 2003.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced they have traded veteran outfielder Dexter Fowler to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for a player-to-be-named-later or cash considerations. The switch-hitting Fowler played in 389 games for the Cardinals from 2017-20, and had a career-best 19 home runs and 67 RBI during the 2019 season, as the Cardinals advanced to the National League Championship Series. The 34-year old Fowler will be a free agent following the upcoming 2021 season.
