The University of Missouri athletic programs took a hit Thursday when the NCAA issued penalties against the softball, baseball and football teams that include three years of probation and one-year postseason bans in the upcoming year, as well as a 5% scholarship reduction for all three sports for the 2019-2020 year. Also included was the vacation of records for the football, softball and baseball teams for games in which the 12 athletes participated. The NCAA found that a tutor for 12 athletes, Yolanda Kumar, “violated NCAA ethical conduct, academic misconduct and academic extra benefits rules when she completed academic work for 12 student-athletes.” That is the ruling according to a Division I Committee on Infractions panel. Missouri is appealing the penalties against all three programs.

The St. Louis Blues will be back in action tomorrow night after a long All-Star break. They will face the Columbus Blue Jackets at 5:30. You can hear the game on KSMO Radio.
