The “Bragging Rights” basketball game between Missouri and Illinois will be held Saturday night at 6:30 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis on KSMO Radio. Missouri enters the game with a 10-2 record while the Fighting Illinois have an 8-5 record and lead the series with a 31-16 advantage over Missouri. Illinois has won the last four Bragging Rights games.

After being outscored 12-4 in two previous losses to St. Louis this season, the Edmonton Oilers came back from a pair of third-period deficits before posting a 3-2 victory over the Blues on Drake Caggiula’s goal. The Blues will be in Vancouver Saturday night to a face the Canucks at 8:30 or right after the Missouri-Illinois Basketball game on KSMO.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced their 2017 Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Year selections. They named outfielder Harrison Bader and right-handed pitcher Jack Flaherty for their accomplishments on the field. Both Bader and Flaherty made their Major League debuts in 2017.

Registration for the City of Salem Adult Men’s Basketball League for men 18 years of age and above and no longer in high school is going on now at the Salem Community Center @ The Armory and at the City Administrative offices. The cost per team is $300 and teams can be comprised of as many as 12 players. Signups will continue until December 29th. Teams registering after December 29th will be charged a $25 late fee.
