The Salem Lady Basketball Tigers fell to the Sullivan Eagles Wednesday night at the People’s Bank Holiday Classic in Sullivan, 58-25. This came on the heels of a loss to the Owensville Dutchgirls Monday, 58-10. The Lady Tigers will play Miller Career at 2:00 this afternoon in Sullivan at the Classic. Salem is now 2-3 on the year. Next week they will participate in the 11th Annual Mountain Grove Holiday Tournament.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will host the Camdenton Lakers today starting at 4;30 with the freshman game at the SHS Gym. The JV game will follow starting close to 5:30 with the varsity contest around 7:00. The varsity game can be heard on KSMO Radio (AM 1340 and 95.7 FM) as well as video streamed on KSMO Media (ksmoradio.com, KSMO Stream Facebook Page and the KSMO YouTube page) starting with Tiger Talk and Coach Jared Patterson around 6:50. Salem enters the game with a 2-3 record.

The Salem Boys Basketball Tigers will participate in the Cabool Basketball Holiday Tournament starting Thursday morning at 10:30 when they face Winona. Salem is seeded 8th and Winona is seeded 9th. The winner of the game Thursday will play Friday at 3:00 in the afternoon while the loser will play at 9:00 Friday morning.

The Missouri Basketball Tigers and the Fighting Illini will battle it out Sunday at the Enterprise Center starting with the pregame show at 11:30. Missouri enters the game with a 10-1 record while Illinois is 7-3.

The St. Louis Blues played the Tampa Bay Lightning last night and found themselves down 2-0 in the second before Pavel Buchnevich put the Blues on the board with a slap shot. After the final horn in regulation the Blues fell 3-1 in a game that they trailed in all but 5 minutes. St. Louis stays in Florida to play the Panthers tonight.

St. Louis Blues have traded defenseman Pierre Oliver Joseph to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for future considerations. The 25-year-old Joseph was originally signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 3, 2024.

The 13-1 Kansas City Chiefs will play the 9-5 Houston Texans Saturday at noon on CBS & NBC.
