The Salem Football Tigers will be at Dexter tonight to face the Cougars starting at 7:00. Salem enters the game with a 1-0 record and Dexter is 0-1 after losing to Ste. Genevieve last Friday, 21-0. Coach Brian McNamee invites all to the Salem Tiger Football Parade that will be held Friday, September 7th starting on 4th Street downtown. If you would like to have a float, car, walking delegation or representation in the parade, call Dolly Howard at 573-368-6364.

The Salem Lady Softball Tigers game with Alton Thursday was postponed by rain. It will be rescheduled at a later date. The Lady Tigers will be at Ava Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 Salem enters the game with a 0-2 record.

Last night, the Salem Lady Varsity Tigers beat Bunker in two straight games: 25-22 and 25-15. The JV also won by the scores of 25-14 and 25-14. Salem is now 1-1 on the year. The Salem Lady Volleyball Tigers will be at Eminence to face the Lady Red Wings on Tuesday for their next match starting at 6:00.

The Missouri Football Tigers will open their season against UT-Martin at Faurot Field starting at 3:00. The pre-game show on KSMO will begin at 1:00.

Harrison Bader and John Gant hit back-to-back home runs, Gant pitched into the sixth inning and the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-0 on Thursday night. The Cardinals will start a three game series tonight with the Cincinnati Reds. The game this evening will begin about 9:15 on a delayed basis after Salem Tiger Football at Dexter.

The Royals were off Thursday and start a three game series with Baltimore at Kaufmann Stadium.
