The Salem Tigers banged out 13 hits en route to an 11-1 win over Cabool Thursday. Nate Bray had two hits and two RBI and got the win as Salem improves to 4-7 and 3-2 in the SCA. Salem is off today as they host Licking Saturday morning at 10:00 and then Dixon at 12:30 as part of the makeup games from the Salem Tournament that was rained out last Saturday. Those games will NOT be heard on KSMO Radio.

TODAY is the last day to sign up your child for the City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department’s Youth Baseball, T-Ball and Softball Leagues. The children must be under 14 years of age and the cost is $35 per child. You can sign up your child at the Salem Community Center@The Armory during their regular business hours, 8:00 – 4:30. Jason Heyward hit a two-run homer and the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cardinals, 8-5 on Thursday. The Cardinals will host the Cincinnati Reds tonight starting at 6:20 on KSMO. The two teams will battle Saturday and Sunday starting at 12:20 each afternoon and those games can also be heard on KSMO Radio.

The Kansas City Royals had Thursday off and will start a three game series at Detroit tonight with games Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
