The Salem Baseball Tigers could not get the key hit with runners at 3rd base and less than two out and the Thayer Bobcats took advantage of a couple Salem miscues to beat the Tigers Thursday, 4-1. Salem is 3-9 on the year and 1-3 in the SCA Conference. Salem will be home to face the Eagles of Mountain View-Liberty Monday at 4:30.

The Salem Tigers Tennis Team shutout the Licking Wildcats in tennis Thursday afternoon at Licking, nine matches to none. Salem will be at Mountain View-Liberty Monday at 4:00. Salem is 5-3 on the year.

The Salem High School Track Team will be at Owensville at 2:30 today.

St. Louis could only muster six hits against Vincent Valasquez and three relievers as the Pittsburgh Pirates shutout the Cardinals Thursday, 5-0. The Red Birds will host the Pittsburgh Pirates tonight at 6:20, then at 12:20 Saturday and Sunday on KSMO.

The Kansas City Royals were off Thurday and they start a three-game series tonight against Atlanta.

The St. Louis Blues lost their regular season finale to the Dallas Stars, 1-0 at Dallas and finish below the .500 mark for the first time since the 2007-2008 season at 37-38-7.
