Garrett Connell’s single in the bottom of the 8th inning drove home Silas Woolf with the game winning run as the Salem Tigers beat Mountain Grove, 4-3. Salem is 4-6 on the year and 3-0 in the SCA. The Salem Tigers next game will be Monday when they travel to Ava for SCA Conference play at 4:30.

The Salem Tigers Tennis Team defeated Licking Thursday afternoon at Licking, 9-0. They will host Waynesville this afternoon at 4:00.

Jose Martinez had four hits and Matt Wieters drove in the go ahead runs with a single as the St. Louis overcame a couple of three run deficits and beat the LA Dodgers, 11-7 Thursday and swept the four game series. Weiters finished the day with three RBI and Harrison Bader drove in two runs by getting hit with pitches. The Cards will play the Cincinnati Reds in Mexico Saturday and Sunday and both games will be on KSMO. The game Saturday will be at 5:10 and the game Sunday will be held at 2:10.

Daniel Vogelbach’s 10th inning homer was the difference as the Seattle Mariners beat the Kansas City Royals Thursday, 7-6 and swept the four game series. Seattle also set a major league record for hitting home runs in the first 15 games of a season. The Royals have now lost 10 games in a row after winning their first two games of the season. The Royals will start a three game series tonight with the Cleveland Indians.

The St. Louis Blues will be in Winnipeg to face the Jets in Game 2 tonight starting at 8:00 on KSMO Radio. The third game of the series will be in St. Louis Sunday night at 6:30. The Blues won game 1 on Wednesday by the score of 2-1 and lead the series, 1 game to none. You can hear these games on KSMO Radio.
