The Salem Tiger Baseball game with Sullivan Thursday was postponed due to rain. The game may be made up this afternoon if the Salem High School field is playable. KSMO will NOT broadcast the game if played Friday due to previous commitments.

The Salem City Park on Monday will be the site of Class 1, District 9 Tennis play. On Monday, the #6 seed Licking will play the #3 seed Houston, and the #5 seed Mountain View-Liberty will face the #4 seed Willow Springs. Mountain Grove is the 1st seed in the district tournament and Salem is seeded 2nd. The 1st and 2nd seeds do not play until Tuesday.

The St. Louis Cardinals will host the Chicago Cubs for the first of three weekend series in St. Louis starting tonight at 6:20 on KSMO. Saturday’s game will be at 12:20 on KSMO and Sunday’s game will be the ESPN Game of the Week and will start at 6:10 on KSMO.

Lucas Duda had three hits and drove in four runs as the Kansas City Royals beat the Detroit Tigers 10-6 on Thursday to open their four-game series. Salvador Perez, Jorge Soler and Alex Gordon each went deep for the Royals. Kansas City pounded out 13 hits in all against Detroit pitching. The Royals and Tigers continue their series tonight in KC at Kaufmann Stadium.
